I have never been more aware in my life than this moment that I am sitting here in my 6′X6′ cubicle… others wouldn’t want to linger and hurry home… me… I enjoy the afternoon away…
Music, I guess, is a food for the soul.
About 3 months ago… I have discovered this site full of memorable songs… RARE ones and very moving… I started downloading them (not that I RECOMMEND downloading)… and what happened to my life? It started getting better and better.
I knew for one it isn’t likely that I get lucky because of the things I just heard in a SONG… but I guess when you play a particular song and IT HITS YOU… Life is much full of colors… and HOPE.
I consider myself a CYNIC, but when it comes to LONGING things… I tell you… I LONG HARD… and songs of longing is the PERFECT way to do it…
Come Pick Me Up by Ryan Adams (When you have seen ELIZABETHTOWN, other people will say it’s phony… "Orlando Bloom should be just Legolas forever and not try out these roles…" or that "Kirsten Dunst has overdone it" THINGS LIKE THAT. I beg to differ. Because the movie exudes of what you call moments n your life where you should be grateful of what you STILL have and so what it you FAILED… There’s no way but UP anyway… That’s all there is to LIFE. Ups and Downs…)
Now That You’re Gone by again Ryan Adams (Imagine this… you’re in a room, full of pictures… candle light and a sweet music like this… SAD… BITTERSWEET and lovely… Makes you want to cry and crave for a hug from your special someone…)
Copper Moon by Tom Freund ( When you’re walking down a deserted road… and the SUN is setting down… go to BAYWALK where the sun sets beautifully and wait for its COPPER MOON. Only in the Philippines… one of my most favorite sites… when you’re in Manila… don’t forget to savor the sweet smelling breeze from Baywalk along Roxas BLVD., a little walk won’t hurt)
Stay by Michelle Featherstone (I almost cried with this song once… I picture myself being numb of all the heartaches and friendship breakups… and that the person YOU love can’t or won’t STAY. All you could ever do is to sing the song… and PRAY)
When I’m Thinking About You by The Sundays (This one I like because it brings all the memories ANTHONY and I shared… the laughters… the pain… the passion… The moments just won’t stop pouring in… and you don’t ever want to wake up… WHEN I’M THINKING ABOUT …. HIM…)
And the list goes on and on…
